Help Us Beta Test Our New Analytics Platform

We’re in the final stages of testing for our new form analytics system and before we open it up to everyone, we would like to get some testing and feedback from some of our more adventurous users. If that sounds like you and you feel like you can dedicate some time to help us hunt out some bugs behind the scenes, just fill out this [signup form for the Wufoo Analytics Beta](https://master.wufoo.com/forms/analytics-beta-signup/). This is a limited beta, we’re afraid, so it’s going to be limited to first come, first try.

Thanks in advance!

  • Looking good!

I miss the feature when you compared the “Views” to the “Entries” is the simple Analytics View in the Form Manager. But the funnel in “Completion Rate by Page” is useful as well and maybe more so than the latter.

The “Top Cities” under Entries by Region is always coming up as “Chicago” only, which isn’t so for me.

The Referrer Data is always coming up as: “No referrer data was found for this time period.” I wonder if this should be handled by Google Analytics directly.

“Error Rate” is a GREAT IDEA, however, I didn’t see any context which I could use to pin point where the problem is on my form. I would focus on making this feature a priority first. (Ex: I would like to know which specific field that the users do not want to “click on/select” and therefore it is causing and error.)

The “Average Times” is a GREAT IDEA also, but to make it better, I would like it to “ignore” those entries that took 4 hours to fill. (You know that this was somebody that left their browser open and walked away) I mention this because it really messes up when calculating the “average” time. To improve on this feature it would be GREAT to know which field, or page, the user is taking the longest to fill out.

TL; DR: 1) Fix “Top Cities” Chicago default. 2) Why are the “Referrals” not working? 3) “Error Rates” needs context. 4) Set a threshold for “Average Times”.

Analytics for wufoo is a wet dream come true!

  • Thanks for the detailed feedback, Jorge. For #1 and #2, we would love it if you submit a ticket to support. Those appear to be account specific concerns that we can iron out. For #3 and #4, we agree with the ideas, but field level stats would have significantly delayed us from releasing this. Hopefully, that is an area we can expand into.

  • This is great stuff wufoo peeps! Thanks! It would be great to be able to download the analytics info into a spreadsheet would you be able to add that?

  • This looks great, will the analytics work with HTML forms that use the API or will it just be for the javascript embed version?

Posted February 8th, 2011 by Tom Beech.
  • Certain stats like entries, revenue and country (anything server side) will continue to work. Anything that requires JS to collect (time, referrer) won’t work the same through the API.

  • Will this include any options for integration with Google Analytics Goals? I read this forum post from December 2010 (http://wufoo.com/forums/discussion/2061/google-analytics-goal-tracking/p1) that hinted at some Google Analytics integration in the coming months.

  • First of all, great job with this, but the more pressing need is for google analytics goal tracking. Passing the form completion as conversion would make wufoo even more of the bees knees than it already is

  • I agree with Jorge Morales:

—-The “Average Times” is a GREAT IDEA also, but to make it better, I would like it to “ignore” those entries that took 4 hours to fill. (You know that this was somebody that left their browser open and walked away) I mention this because it really messes up when calculating the “average” time. To improve on this feature it would be GREAT to know which field, or page, the user is taking the longest to fill out.—-

I would like to identify entries that also took too long to fill out as well as those who spent less than 30 seconds or so to submit a lengthy form. This would help to identify persons who are submitting multiple entries. (For several reasons, I blocking multiple submissions by IP address) as well as those who are filling out the form without much thought.

I’ve been using the beta version of this and I am impressed – just wish there was a way to identify the entries associated with this data.
