Wufoo Guides Available, Forums Shutting Down

On *Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014* we’ll be shutting down the Wufoo forums. When Wufoo first launched, we were a small and lean team. We really relied on our amazing Wufoo community to help each other out with their questions that we were unable to answer in a timely fashion.

Since that time our wonderful community has grown, and so has our customer support team. So much so that we can now help customers without them having to post/search their questions/anwers in the forums and hope that someone can help them out. Now, we’re able to answer our customer’s questions and inquiries directly and in a blink of an eye (well, maybe not a blink, but pretty darn fast). We really pride ourselves on our customer support and would only shut down the forums if we knew our customer support quality was top notch, and it is.

Ahead of the planned shutdown of the forums, we’ve been hard at work creating **walkthrough** and **how to articles** to make sure the best forum threads are preserved. We’re proud to announce that you’ll be able to find these pieces of content in our newly launched [Wufoo Guides](http://www.wufoo.com/guides/) section. In **Wufoo Guides**, you’ll find all kinds of articles ranging from the basic stuff, to how to customize your Wufoo forms and experience, and even advanced techniques to really create something custom and incredible. We’ll continually add more guides in the future, so if you’ve got a topic you’d like covered please let us know in the Comments below.

We know that some of our most loyal customers have been using Wufoo for a while now and have been on the forums for almost as long, and we’d like to say thanks for all the support. Thanks! And, please continue to be part of the community and engage on our Facebook page, Google+, LinkedIn and of course, on Twitter.

Form Onwards!

  • Was going to use wufoo before I saw this. Basically you are saying you don’t like answering customer questions directly. Yeah… great customer service.

  • Sorry to hear that Adam. Our customer support team works really hard to answer all of our customer’s questions and offer the best customer support possible which just wasn’t possible with the forums.

If you have any questions or comments, you can email me directly at johan@surveymonkey.com and I’ll see if I can get you to use wufoo yet!

  • This is interesting because normally a forum is a transparent place where customers can crowdsource a problem or suggest a feature. In theory, the company would learn from that.

In the case of wufoo, this is not true. I was following a thread on the forum that was first posted three years ago on a feature request regarding sorting forms by client. I have nearly 100 forms to manage and the only solution wufoo had for customers was to – get this – search for them by name. Ridiculous.

Perhaps I am missing something – and if I am, please correct me. How will wufoo manage feature requests in the future? And if we want to network or work through an issue with another customer, how will wufoo support that community?

  • Hi @Robin,

Thanks for your comments. The product and engineering team work very closely with our customer support team and have a direct line in communicating feature requests and other feedback. I recommend reaching out to our great customer support team if you’d like to work through any issues you’re experiencing or if you’d simply like to bounce ideas off of us.

I understand your disappointment in the forums being shut down, user networking and community is important to us. For now we had to disable them due to the persistent spamming and we may look into other alternatives to open up a space like this again, but we can’t promise anything.

Again, if you want to talk more about this, please feel free to shoot me a direct email at johan@surveymonkey.com.

  • It literally takes me hours to get a response from the support team. I am getting no customer service now and am having trouble adding a section to my form. It will only populate in one area, I cannot move any new section. If I would have known this I wouldn’t have paid for the services. Its not user friendly at all and actually really difficult to work around compared to survey monkey.
    From a frustrated user….
